CEO
Mrs. Cindy Nguyen was born in Vietnam and fled the country with her family on a small boat at the age of seven. After spending five years in a detention camp in Hong Kong, they were finally able to resettle in the United States.
Despite the many struggles of her early life, Mrs. Nguyen recognized the power of education as the key to a brighter future. With determination and perseverance, she earned her degree from UC Berkeley and went on to obtain a Master’s in Education. For the past twenty-six years, she has devoted herself to teaching mathematics, inspiring countless students with her passion and dedication.
A devoted wife and mother of two college-aged children, Mrs. Nguyen has never forgotten her roots. She and her husband return to Vietnam almost every year to provide support to those in need. Guided by compassion, she founded the Improving Vietnam Organization with the help of her family and friends. As CEO, Mrs. Nguyen’s role is to inspire others to give back and to expand the organization’s impact on disadvantaged communities.
Her mission is to uplift lives through education and to encourage the younger generation to embrace the spirit of generosity and community. To further this vision, the Improving Vietnam Student Club was created, empowering students to actively support disadvantaged people and become leaders of change.
