Improving Vietnam is honored to support a small village temple in Dong Thap called Thien Lam, located 150km away from Ho Chi Minh City. In partnership with monks, the Red Cross, and the local association for the blind, we provided care packages filled with essential items such as rice, noodles, cooking staples, and household necessities.
In addition, each recipient receives a nominal financial gift of 500,000 VND (~$20 USD) to help with medical expenses or urgent needs. The people we reached were among the most vulnerable in the community — elderly individuals, people living with disabilities, and members of the blind association.
This effort was not only about providing food and supplies, but also about offering dignity, comfort, and the reassurance that they are not forgotten.
