As CEO of Improving Vietnam, I am committed to creating opportunities for students from disadvantaged families to access higher education. Our scholarship program aims to support 10 exceptional students by providing tuition for four years of college, housing near the college campus, and daily necessities such as food and essential supplies — everything they need to succeed and graduate.
These students will be selected based on their financial need, strong study and academic track record, and deep desire to pursue higher education. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering young people to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
The scholarship recipients are required to commit to give back by mentoring 10 new high school students, providing mentoring, tutoring, and encouragement to help them excel academically and prepare for college. Over time, this reverse-pyramid-based program could grow exponentially: the 100 high school students supported by the initial 10 scholarship recipients may become the next generation of college students who, in turn, will continue to help support another 1,000 high school students to achieve their academic goals. It’s a “positive pyramid” of opportunity, education, and empowerment.
With your support, we can make this ambitious vision a reality — providing life-changing education to generations of students, lifting families out of poverty, and contributing to a brighter future for Vietnam. Together, we can help these young people reach their full potential and inspire hope across communities.
